Ted Collison is a founding partner of Collison Ltd. He began his career as an Assistant Kane County State’s Attorney where he prosecuted hundreds of criminal and civil cases, earning a reputation as a zealous and successful advocate. Following his career with the Kane County State’s Attorney Mr. Collison began private practice representing clients in workers compensation, personal injury, and wrongful death actions.

Mr. Collison has tried cases in both state and federal courts in Illinois, has argued civil appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the First District Court of Appeals of Illinois. In his workers compensation practice, Mr. Collison has successfully represented thousands of clients before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and has obtained several million dollar settlements and decisions on their behalf. Mr. Collison has also obtained several million dollar and multi-million dollar settlements representing his clients and their families in complex litigation actions including aviation litigation, construction negligence, wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice and personal injury actions.

In 2004 Mr. Collison was selected as a “Leading Lawyer” by the Leading Lawyer’s Network and remains a “Leading Lawyer” today. He is an active member of several bar associations including the Kane County Bar Association and Iowa State Bar Association and has previously served as the co-chairman of the Kane County Worker’s Compensation Committee. In conjunction with his legal practice, Mr. Collison periodically lectures to physician groups and medical associations regarding personal injury and workers compensation litigation.
