1.9 million Plaintiff a one day old baby, was born at Defendant Hospital after a prolonged cesarean section delivery which resulted in her mother losing over 2000ccs of blood requiring two blood transfusions.  Plaintiff was in hypovelimc shock and was handed over to defendant doctor who was an agent of second defendant hospital.  Multiple failed resuscitation attempts, failure to provide appropriate medications and failure to provide the plaintiff with fluids compounded by defendant hospital’s lack of adequate staff and the on call neo-natologist’s failure to answer his phone resulted in the death of Plaintiff at 1 day old.  Defendant doctors and hospitals argued that Plaintiff had an event in utero 12-24 hours before her birth that caused her presentation at birth and ultimate demise.  Case was settled on the day of jury selection.
